{"id":552,"date":"2021-09-05T10:33:22","date_gmt":"2021-09-05T10:33:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.geofabrik.de\/?p=552"},"modified":"2021-09-05T10:33:22","modified_gmt":"2021-09-05T10:33:22","slug":"download-server-issue-breaks-some-countries-in-africa-and-asia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.geofabrik.de\/index.php\/2021\/09\/05\/download-server-issue-breaks-some-countries-in-africa-and-asia\/","title":{"rendered":"Download server issue breaks some countries in Africa and Asia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the past night, a problem on the download server caused us to publish truncated data extracts for the following countries:<\/p>\n<p>In Africa:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Benin<\/li>\n<li>Cameroon<\/li>\n<li>Chad<\/li>\n<li>Comores<\/li>\n<li>Kenya<\/li>\n<li>Mali<\/li>\n<li>Mauritius<\/li>\n<li>Namibia<\/li>\n<li>Niger<\/li>\n<li>Nigeria<\/li>\n<li>Saint Helena\/Ascension\/Tristan da Cunha<\/li>\n<li>Sao Tome and Principe<\/li>\n<li>Senegal<\/li>\n<li>Seychelles<\/li>\n<li>Swaziland<\/li>\n<li>Togo<\/li>\n<li>Zambia<\/li>\n<li>Zimbabwe<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In Asia:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bangladesh<\/li>\n<li>Cambodia<\/li>\n<li>China<\/li>\n<li>India<\/li>\n<li>Indonesia<\/li>\n<li>Iran<\/li>\n<li>Iraq<\/li>\n<li>Malaysia<\/li>\n<li>Maldives<\/li>\n<li>Nepal<\/li>\n<li>North Korea<\/li>\n<li>Philippines<\/li>\n<li>South Korea<\/li>\n<li>Sri Lanka<\/li>\n<li>Syria<\/li>\n<li>Taiwan<\/li>\n<li>Vietnam<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The extracts have been reset to yesterday&#8217;s version but if you have downloaded an extract between 2021-09-05 01:00 UTC and 2021-09-05 10:00 UTC then you have got a truncated file. Also, if you have an automatic process that loads daily updates, and you have loaded and processed an update for any of these countries in that timespan, you now have a truncated database and need to re-import data. (This will not automatically fix itself with the next update.)<\/p>\n<p>If you have not loaded updates during this timespan, or if you have loaded updates but not for the countries mentioned, then you are not affected.
